Under the ‘Start’ button and ‘Run’ type in ‘regedit’ and hit OK to bring up the Registry Editor.Instructions to create a back-up and to restore the registry can be found on the Microsoft’s Knowledge Base article Q322756. Before proceeding with the next steps, It is strongly recommended that a backup of the registry be made.Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA% (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\) and rename the folder 3Dconnexion to “3Dconnexion.cleanup”. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming) and rename the 3Dconnexion folder to “3Dconnexion.cleanup”. Then rename the 3Dconnexion folder in C:\Program Files\ to “3Dconnexion.cleanup” if applicable. Remove the current driver through the Add/Remove programs.Download the latest driver from the 3Dconnexion website and save it to an easy to access location such as the desktop.Administrator privileges are needed before performing the following:
